Moneyline: who wins the stated contest?
The moneyline is the winner market. Its scope matters: a match winner covers the series; a map or game winner covers that specific part. “Team A wins” is incomplete without the contest it refers to.
Decimal odds combine the original stake and profit in the payout multiplier. An illustrative 10-unit stake at 2.40 returns 24 units if successful, including the 10-unit stake. The raw implied probability is 1 ÷ 2.40, or 41.7%. It is a translation of the odds, not a guarantee.
Map handicap: add or subtract maps
A handicap applies an adjustment to a team’s final map score. For Team A −1.5 in a completed BO3, a 2–0 result becomes 0.5–0 and wins. A 2–1 result becomes 0.5–1 and loses. Half-map lines avoid a tie after the adjustment.
Total maps: count how many are played
In an ordinary BO3, over 2.5 maps requires a deciding third map. Under 2.5 requires a two-map sweep. It does not matter which team wins. Awarded maps, void games or an unusual tournament format can change settlement, so these examples assume a normal completed series.
| Final score A : B | A to win | A −1.5 | Over 2.5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 : 0 | Win | Win | Lose |
| 2 : 1 | Win | Lose | Win |
| 1 : 2 | Lose | Lose | Win |
| 0 : 2 | Lose | Lose | Lose |
What about rounds, kills and duration?
They use different scoring units. A CS2 round total concerns rounds; a LoL kill total concerns kills; a duration line concerns time. Never carry a value such as 2.5 from one type of market into another without its label and period.
Why do probabilities add up to more than 100%?
Two sides priced at 1.90 each imply approximately 52.63% each. Together that is 105.26%. The excess is called overround and reflects the pricing margin. Those two raw implied probabilities cannot both be treated as fair probabilities of mutually exclusive outcomes.
Prices can move, disappear or be suspended. The absence of a number is information about availability, not an outcome. For how this site handles that distinction, see our data methodology.

Same match.
Different market.
A 2–1 series win is a moneyline win. A −1.5 map handicap? That loses. Try the four possible results in an ordinary best-of-three series.
