DATA METHODOLOGY / TRANSPARENCY

Where the Pinnacle odds come from.
What the board shows.

A recent page load does not automatically mean recent odds. Here is what happens between the source and the number on your screen.

Where the odds come from

pnclHUB receives Pinnacle market data from an independent data provider. We are independent of Pinnacle and do not operate a sportsbook. Our public desk shows full-match winner markets for esports, with separate live and prematch views.

Two clocks, two different meanings

“Checked” tells you when our server received a snapshot. Source age tells you how old the provider says its underlying board data is. Neither is a timestamp for the last change to an individual price.

We use the provider’s freshness headers. If freshness is unknown or the source reports stale data, prices are withheld. We also withhold them when the reported source age plus time in our cache exceeds two minutes. A fresh board can contain an unchanged price.

How the schedule is filtered

  • Upcoming matches must have a valid future start time.
  • Closed or settled full-match markets are left out.
  • Records without the full-match market period are left out.
  • Live records more than 18 hours past their scheduled start are left out as a precaution.

CS2, LoL and Dota 2 categories come from the league-name prefix. Unrecognised games stay in “Other esports.” We do not guess the game from team names. Kickoffs use your browser’s timezone, displayed under the board.

Refresh and coverage limits

The page checks periodically while it is visible; the manual refresh button checks again. Visitors share a server-side snapshot, so a refresh does not necessarily make a new upstream request. A cached response can be shown briefly with a clear age indicator; expired responses lose their prices.

Each view shows at most 30 matches from a bounded snapshot. A team search searches that displayed view, not an archive. The source is not a complete tournament calendar. Missing fixtures or markets are not filled with sample data, and there is no historical odds database on this site.

Three states that should not be confused

What you seeWhat it means
No matchesThe available snapshot has no fixtures matching this view.
Prices withheldSchedule information may be available, but price freshness is not confirmed.
Feed unavailableWe could not obtain a usable snapshot. It is not a zero-match claim.

For settlement, consult the operator’s rules. Our guides explain markets; they do not decide bets.

Want to build on the data?

The free board is a way to explore. If you need programmatic access, review our esports API checklist and verify the coverage your application needs before purchasing.

The documented sports and markets behind that checklist are compared on the coverage page on pnclODDS.
